Medium: Video of performance pieces | Duration: 16 mins | Year: 2018
Through performance interventions, dibdubdrib looks into surveillance practices in physical and digital spaces from feminist perspectives. It addresses issues that characterize cyber-surveillance, such as self-quantification, social networking practices, targeted advertising, and facial recognition. The work begins with a song composed by a fictional, personal intelligent assistant. It dictates activities that should be performed by its user dibdubdrib throughout the day. The performances take form in a myriad of personalities as she navigates in and out of 'being under surveillance'.
