Medium: Plastic dolls, bamboo strips, cloth | Dimensions: 2.5 x 2.5 x 1 ft. | Year: 2017
Panxyz is a small-scale material exploration using bamboo, plastic dolls, and cloth. Resembling the model of a panopticon, this work is a conical version with dismembered dolls as captives. It metaphorically portrays today’s digital world’s targeted surveillance, and one of its many effects- the process of homogenization of gendered behavior and conceptions.
